THERAPY FOr THOSE AFFECTED

BY CANCER

And CHRONIC ILLNESS

“You have cancer.” A phrase that no one wants to hear, but more than 20 million people worldwide do. No matter your age, race, religion, sex, gender identity, or ethnicity, cancer completely uproots the life you once knew, and your expectations for the future. It affects not only your body but your relationships, career, family, self-identity, and so much more. You gear up for “survival mode” and begin the literal fight of your life.

This is where I step in: to help you deal with life-altering, overwhelming changes that come with diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and grief of physical illness. Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, are grieving, or in the midst of illness, you are not alone.

Physical illness is not just physical.

SUPPORT FOR:

INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH CANCER AND CHRONIC ILLNESS

A recent diagnosis or long - term illness is life-altering, scary, and

uproots the life you once knew. I provide long-term or brief support

so you are not alone through this journey.

CAREGIVERS AND LOVED ONES

Partners, spouses, children (ages 5-18), friends, family of those affected

by cancer carry the weight of the illness as well. I help loved ones to process feelings, explore their role, facilitate difficult conversations, and more.

SURVIVORS AND THRIVERS

If you are in remission or living with metastatic cancer, you have a unique set of challenges, and a new way of living. There may not be an end in sight to treatment, tests, and scanxiety. Remission may feel out of reach. I will support you in dealing with your new reality, and help you to make the most out of every day.

Bereavement

Bereavement support for recent or long-term loss. I am not afraid to talk about death, death is a part of life. However, death comes with losses that go beyond just the physical person. Loss of a relationship, a routine, an expected future. You may need help in navigating the “grief fog” and finding your footing again. I am here for you in this unbearable time.

*In addition to cancer, I have experience in supporting individuals with chronic medical conditions such as muscular dystrophy, chronic migraines, cerebral palsy, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, and unknown chronic illness.
